Through its major programs and services, PEI serves three primary objectives: Showcase and promote innovations in materials and processing to improve the overall efficiency of enameling operations. Promote the product generally and encourage its use in all possible applications. Advance and protect the legitimate interests of the industry and its individual members. Through an active committee structure with representation from all segments of the industry, PEI is geared to provide valuable, timely programs and services to executives at many organizational levels. PEI represents the crossroads of the porcelain enamel industry on the North American continent. PEI is also active in the International Enamellers Institute operating worldwide, and hosted the last International Enamellers Congress in Nashville during 1995.
