FRP Stack Liner Cans.
We have a parcel of FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) Stack Liner Cans. The sections are intended to be used as chimney/smoke stack liners. The liners were manufactured using Dion 9300 Resin and 213 Yield Glass. They were manufactured using a filament wound and chop process.
They ship in rings 30 ft tall and 30 ft in diameter. The liners were rejected due to evidence of cracks in the lower sections. The job was spec’d for appx. 600 ft. of liner and they feel appx. 50% will be rejected.
We believe there will be appx. 10 sections that weigh around 25,000 Lbs. each. The liners are located in Kentucky (just S. of Lexington).
